They may have left the screens, but we still remember them. Where are they now? Maybe closer than you think.

They might be your son’s teacher or your Starbucks barista. Here’s a list of the celebrities who ended up with normal jobs.

Not all celebrities stay in the showbiz industry all their lives. Some of them decided to quit being famous and decided to step out of the spotlight while Others pursue a different way of life.

Here are some of the former Pinoy celebrities who have different jobs today.

1. Kim Delos Santos

Despite being barely born at the time when ’90s romantic movies were at their peak, we all can be honest and reveal that we are all certified fans of “Tagalog cheesy films.” Some of our favorite movies where Kim was part of are are “Dito Sa Puso Ko,” “Honey My Love so Sweet,” “Wala Na bang Pag-ibig,” “DoReMi,” “Kung Ayaw Mo Huwag Mo” and “Ikaw Lamang.” She is the former TGIS star who is now a dialysis nurse in New Jersey, USA.

2. Bettina Carlos

Bettina was only 16 years when she started appearing in GMA shows such as “Love to Love,” and “Kakabakaba.” That was in 2003, and in 2006 she tried working with ABS-CBN via the drama series “Magkano Ang Iyong Dangal,” and “Wansapanataym.” Then she disappeared for a while and later turned out that she focused on her studies, and earned her degree in Management at the Ateneo University. She is currently one of the writers in Manila Times on the web and composed numerous articles as of now. She has a daughter named Amanda Lucia "Gummy". She is the former “Idol sa Kusina” host who is now a columnist for the Manila Times. She is also the owner of Baked Bites by ABC.

3. CJ Muere

He auditioned in StarStruck in 2004 and he made it until the Top 7. He may be eliminated but through the Wild Card that was included in the season's format, he was selected, replacing Benj Pacia. He proved that he really deserved to be the wildcard pick. He made it through to the coveted Final 4 along with LJ Reyes, Ryza Cenon, and Mike Tan and wherein he finished as the runner-up to Mike Tan He is now a dentist.

4. Serena Dalrymple

She played alongside comedy queen Ai-Ai de las Alas in the hit movie and sitcom Ang Tanging Ina. Afterwards, she did a couple of movies and eventually did her last show Spirits with other teen contract stars of Star Magic. She announced her retirement from show business in 2004. She has returned to showbiz from her retirement and has included in the casts of Ang Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat and Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last Na 'To!). She is a former child star who was discovered on Jollibee commercial with Aga Muhlach. Serena is now the manager and procurement COE at Viacom, a long-running media company in the US.

5. Goyong

He was a former child star and ‘That’s My Boy’ Runner-Up on Eat Bulaga in 1998. Goyong is now a floor director on the said noontime show.

6. Chantal Umali

Throughout her career in showbiz, she was "chubby." Remember her classic "Goodbye, Carlo" hot dog commercial in the late ‘90s? Chantal is now a yoga instructor who used to be a popular commercial model as a child.

7. RR Herrera

Herrera began his acting career at the age of seven, appearing in the TV show Agila (1987). He later appeared in the films Hindi Ka Na Sisikatan Ng Araw (1990) and Batas Ng .45 (1991), among others. He was one of the regular hosts of the variety show Eh Kasi Bata, along with Aiza Seguerra, L.A. Lopez, and Cathleen Gokien. Herrera guested in ABS-CBN's Kris TV (2011). He is an award-winning former child star who works these days as a motivational speaker and an executive of a training company.

8. LA Lopez

Lyle Areanne Lopez is a Filipino actor and singer. Lyle Lopez formerly known as L.A. Lopez was "discovered" by the comedy king Dolphy Quizon in a talent search titled That's My Boy. He began his career as a child actor on the children's show, Eh Kasi Bata. Garnered several Awit Awards as a child singer. He is now a Christian pastor.

9. Princess Punzalan

She became popular for her role as antagonist Selina Pereira-Matias in the 1997 hit TV series Mula Sa Puso starring Claudine Barretto, aired in ABS-CBN. She works now as a nurse.

10. Don Laurel

Former Kapamilya actor Don Laurel is now a Toronto police officer. Don was featured on CBC Toronto recently as the police who was a former soap opera star from the Philippines.

He previously starred in Gimik and Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan.
