Members Of "PLAYGIRLS" Slam Angel Locsin Over Her Remarks On PGT

The show Pilipinas Got Talent has been making trending topics in social media since it aired. Pilipinas Got Talent is a Filipino reality talent competition show on ABS-CBN network that began on February 20, 2010. It is based on the Got Talent franchise, a British TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell's SYCO company. "Pilipinas" is the Filipino word for the Philippines.

Anyone can join and showcase their talents in the audition. At the sound of three buzzers from the judges, the auditionees are asked to stop their talent. With at least two yes from the judges, they are automatically in the list of Judges Cuts, where judges have to pick only 36 acts that will move to the semi-finals. Acts will compete against each other in order to gain the audience support to win the prize money and the title of Pilipinas Got Talent.

Recently people are talking about the act that aired yesterday. The act of the “PLAYGIRLS” made rounds in social media that it is now trending. Actress Angel Locsin made some opposing comments to the contestants. She even had a discussion with Robin Padilla, one of the judges of the show. The act was a dance act, the “Playgirls” danced while they were cleaning the SUV. It was supposed to be a carwash/dance act, but for others like Angel, they find it a little off.

And Robin asked the ladies if they really love what they are doing. "Ginagawa niyo ba yan dahil gusto niyo? O labag sa kalooban niyo? Isa-isa ha kasi mahalaga ’to. Para mabura sa isipan nu’ng mga ibang judges na kayo’y napilitan o ano," he said.

Robin still insisted and just to be sure, by saying, "OK ba nag-ejoy ba kayo sa ginawa nyo? Gusto nyo ba na ang mga kalalakihan ay humahanga sa inyo?" Then Angel replied.

"Seryoso ka?" Angel asked Robin. "Pakinggan muna natin sila," Robin replied.

One of the PLAYGIRLS' member said, "Para po sa'min ay talent naman po namin ito."

ABS-CBN acquired the Got Talent franchise, advertising it as "the first nationwide talent reality show in the Philippines," although other talent shows from other networks are aired with a similar format. Viewers are able to join through text and online registration via the Internet. Auditions are held in key cities such as Manila, Baguio, Batangas, Cebu, Davao and Cagayan de Oro.

For the results, Angel Locsin and Vice Ganda voted 'no' for their performance while Robin Padilla and Sir FMG voted 'yes' for the group. After the show, the two of members of PLAYGIRLS wrote this on their social media account:

They wanted to express their feelings regarding Angel’s reaction. For them they were just doing their act,
and that it was their talent. they respect themselves with the same respect that they give to other girls.
It just that their talent was acted or interpreted in a different angle. A lot of people also gave their opinion
regarding the issue.
