Loving daughter brings her bedridden mother to the Annual SSS Pensioners' Confirmation.

Work and employment are among the many needs of a family. By working, one gets paid a certain amount of money and this is what will be used to supply themselves with the basic necessities and probably, some wants as well. This has been the system of the world for quite a long time now. People can only afford their needs and wants if they work hard for their salary. As time progressed, governments have developed a way to give certain benefits to workers in exchange for a small amount of deduction to their salaries that will be collected as a contribution to certain agencies.

In the Philippines, there exists an agency called the Social Security System. This agency is run by the government and is responsible for providing wage-earners and low-salary workers an access to social insurance. This agency is also responsible for the pension of retired workers who have contributed a portion of their monthly salary to the agency for the whole duration of their career. They have certain protocols and procedures when it comes to providing pensions. One of which is that they should report to the agency annually during the Annual Confirmation of Pensioners or ACOP in short. There was a need for this procedure because SSS needs to monitor the recipients of pension.
