A former US Air Force mechanic who was deployed in Afghanistan turns heads as she becomes a fitness model.

In the US military, to be deployed in Afghanistan is a great honorable feat. It is one of the biggest milestones that a person in the US military can ever achieve.

Recently, a post from months ago has resurfaced online. It became viral again as it featured a gorgeous woman who did military work before pursuing her dream to become a model.

Meet Hope Howard. She is a 27-year-old woman who was born in the US on June 22, 1990. Way back when she was still 5 years old, she started to aspire to become a model. As she grew older, the dream to become a model stayed with her but aside from that, another desire rose from deep within her, and that was the desire to help others. She later found herself with an internal conflict between her two interests which contrasted with each other. She started to lose belief in her modeling dream and gave up on it little by little. As soon as she graduated from high school, she joined the US Air Force as a Fighter Jet Mechanic. At the age of 19, Hoe was deployed to Afghanistan where she had an M-16 rifle strapped to her body round-the-clock. Being thrown into a war zone gave her both the best and the worst experience in life. There, she did a huge amount of growing and maturing as she began to see the world from a different perspective. That was when the fire of her other dream started to rekindle. She became more mindful of the food that she consumed and began focusing on physical training. She was very thankful for that fire as it saved her life.

After four years, she became an IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) bikini professional and personal trainer. As she nears the end of her 6-year enlistment with the military, she received a call from her grandmother who is in the hospital and was up for amputation of one of her legs. The surgery proceeded and was successfully done, but after 3 months, her grandmother still passed away.

Hope seems to be very close to her grandmother whom she calls as her most favorite person in the world. Because of the incident, she started giving up on her dream again. But then she remembered something that her grandmother told her. She remembered a very valuable advice from her grandmother which was "You have to live your life no matter what". From then on, she decided to get out of the military and pursue her long overdue dreams of fitness modeling and full-time personal training. She realized that doing that will allow her to get the best of both worlds, modeling while helping others.

Hope also shared that most of her early life was spent in a 1 bedroom house where she, her sister, and her parents all slept together. She watched her parents start their own business and spare them from their situation. She admitted that she didn't live a life of privilege and she really knows the poor life but is not embarrassed about it at all. She exerted so much effort to be where she stands now and she knows that she still has a long way to go.
